ITAA Backs Ambition Where It Begins: In Our Communities

ITAA supports youth rugby at Mumbles RFC, helping U10s and U11s thrive through community-driven sponsorship, team identity, and grassroots development.

At ITAA, supporting grassroots sport means more than simply placing a logo on a shirt. It’s about investing in potential, creating community spirit, and being part of something bigger. That is exactly why we are proud to back the Mumbles RFC Under 10s and Under 11s squads—two teams at the heart of one of Wales’ most storied local clubs.

Established in 1887, Mumbles RFC is a cornerstone of the local sporting community. Based at the recently redeveloped Underhill Park, the club now benefits from a new community hub, cafe/bar, upgraded changing facilities, and a floodlit all-weather pitch that ensures training and games can continue whatever the Welsh weather throws their way.

This season, ITAA’s sponsorship has helped kit out the Under 10s and Under 11s squads with quarter zips, training shirts, coats, bobble hats, and more. Whether at training, on matchday, or just walking around the village, the players proudly wear their team identity—building camaraderie and making memories that extend well beyond the pitch.

Both teams have enjoyed an outstanding season. The Under 10s, led by coach Mark Hickman, who also coaches Swansea Schools Rugby (SSRU), have continued their journey into full-contact rugby, dropping only a handful of games and strengthening their bond on and off the field.

The Under 11s, coached by Nick Founds, are heading into an exciting transition as they prepare for full 15-a-side rugby next season. With a committed group of players, supportive parents, and passionate volunteers—including ITAA’s own James Cochlin, who coaches alongside Nick—the squad is a shining example of what community rugby is all about.

Whether it’s the early steps into contact rugby or the move to the full-sized game, both the U10s and U11s are playing with heart, spirit, and pride in their club. ITAA is proud to support them not just as athletes, but as young people learning the value of teamwork, dedication, and community.

To the Mumbles RFC teams, coaches, and families: thank you for letting us be part of your journey—we cannot wait to see what you achieve next.
